View over Brancaster Staithe Harbour, Brancaster golf links and Scolt Head Island |
The Maltings is an award winning development of old farm buildings right on the North Norfolk salt marshes in a picturesque village on the coast road 2 miles from Burnham Market. A gate leads out onto Peddars Way, the costal walk attributed to Bodicea. A paradise for walkers and birdwatchers at any season in the year, and a few hundred yards from the excellent Jolly Sailors Pub (recently taken over by Cliff Nye of the White Horse, BS) and Brancaster Sailing Club. At low tide the harbour is a sandy walk allowing direct access to the dunes of Brancaster and a wide variety of sea birds, including the tern sanctuary on Scolt Head.
from our visitor's book -.
"As we opened the door for the first time into The Maltings we all said, 'this is the place for us'. We were not disappointed, the layout, fixtures and fittings, the family friendly facilities of TV, radio, CD player, games and books, were beyond our expectations. Although the weather was challenging at times this was a wonderful warm base at all times. We will be telling all our friends and RSPB members and hope that you get some booking from them, thank you for your hospitality and letting us share the wonderful Norfolk coast with you"
